Hand Hot safety temperature indicator (pack 10 units)

This temperature label keeps its red colour unchanged if the temperature is under 50°C. When the temperature reaches 50°C, the background of the label turns black and displays a red drawing that shows a hand over the fire and a 'HOT' message. This is a visual alert on the risk of touching the surface when it is hot.

Hand Hot temperature indicator has been manufactured with LCD technology (Liquid Crystal Display) whose material changes colour on the basis of the temperature.Being a reversible indicator, it turns into its initial stage when the surface cools down.

Flexible, this label can be stuck to piping, glass containers and curved surfaces.

This temperature label is available in just one temperature range at 50°C. Customized productions to cover more temperature ranges are even possible.

This circular temperature indicator has been manufactured with LCD by a non-toxic mixture of liquid crystalline esters. The liquid crystal used has a new formulation called SBC (Single Colour Below). Through this formulation, the crystals make just one colour change when the temperature indicated is reached.

The material is printed on a self-adhesive label laminated with transparent Polyester.

The prolonged exposure of this label to UV radiation is not recommended. It does not contain batteries, electronic components or dangerous substances.

Its accuracy is +/- 1ºC

The aim of Hand Hot temperature indicator is the prevention of accidental burns in working environments.  This indicator is used to monitor risks in the workplace in any sector, included production environments, labs and offices.

It is commonly used in production environments and specifically on piping, heating systems and devices subject to overheating without notice and which can become a potential risk for operators.

In pharmaceutical and chemical labs, it is used with heaters, flasks and other elements as detecting whether they are hot or not is very difficult. . In such environments, the risk of burning is usually associated with the handling of chemicals which may be dangerous in case of accidental spill.

This label is also used in hospitals, offices and other facilities where there might be people outside the organization besides workers. As a visual indicator which does not require the knowledge of a language for its understanding, it is particularly useful to avoid burns in case of contact with heating systems, coffee machines, water heaters and piping in general.
